Futu:go! 2026 Connects Academic Communities
On 1 June 2026, the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University of Košice hosted the faculty-wide gathering of the academic community, futu! 2026, building on the success of last year's event. The original intention of the Faculty leadership was to hold the event outdoors in the faculty’s rear green courtyard; however, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the program was moved to the atrium.
The event provided an informal opportunity for students, faculty members, and staff from all departments and studios of the Faculty of Arts to come together. A particularly important part of the program was the student survey and an open discussion with students representing the individual departments of the faculty. The program also featured a presentation of the international film festival Art Film Fest Košice 2026, delivered by the festival’s spokesperson, Juraj Čurný. He introduced the festival’s current program, film selection, and accompanying events. As part of a raffle, ten all-festival Cinepasses for Art Film Fest 2026 were awarded to lucky winners. The musical atmosphere of the event was created by DJ Adam and DJ Theo, who provided accompanying music throughout the afternoon.
“Our goal is to create a platform where different communities within the academic environment can meet and connect. We are especially pleased with the participation of our students and the fact that all studios and departments were represented. It is wonderful that despite the rainy weather, the gathering maintained a very pleasant, almost outdoor-like atmosphere. Most importantly, futu! 2026 generated several valuable suggestions and once again confirmed the importance of such meetings for the development and community life of the faculty,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Technical University of Košice, Assoc. Prof. Richard Kitta, ArtD.
