As part of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic supporting mobility, a new call for applications for scholarships has been announced for study, research/artistic, and lecture stays during the summer semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The deadline for submitting applications is 31 October 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Applications for scholarships can currently be submitted online at www.stipendia.sk or www.scholarships.sk.

The scholarships are intended for students and PhD students of Slovak higher education institutions (including cases where doctoral studies are carried out at an external educational institution pursuant to the Higher Education Act, e.g. at the Slovak Academy of Sciences [SAV]) and postdoctoral researchers working at Slovak higher education institutions and research organisations (e.g. SAV) who have permanent residence in Slovakia. The scholarships are intended to cover living expenses during a study and/or research/artistic stay as part of the second level of higher education (Master’s/Engineering/Doctoral studies), a study and/or research/artistic stay during doctoral studies, or a research stay for postdoctoral researchers at a selected higher education institution or research organisation abroad. Students, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers may also apply for a travel grant together with their scholarship application under the National Scholarship Programme, in connection with their planned study and/or research/artistic stay abroad.
