V4+ Family Houses 2025
08.04. 2026
Dear architects and friends of architecture,
As part of the Hungarian Days of Architecture in Košice, we are pleased to present two exhibitions and two lectures held at two different venues (see invitations in the attachment):
- Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM | FiguratiF Gallery, Alžbetina 42 The opening of the exhibition "Hungarian Living Architecture – Architecture Without Borders". This exhibition features the work of Imre Makovecz's students and was launched last autumn as the opening event for the grand celebrations of his 90th birth anniversary. The exhibition will be opened by Ferenc Salamin, Head of the Architectural Section of the Hungarian Academy of Arts. He will also deliver a lecture titled "Visegrád Architectural Camps", revisiting the late 20th century when, inspired by Makovecz, annual camps were held in Visegrád, Hungary. During these camps, architecture students designed and built numerous small-scale structures themselves.
- Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM | Atrium of the Faculty of Arts TUKE, Watsonova 4 The opening of the traditional exhibition "V4+ Family Houses 2025". The exhibition is organized by the Association of Hungarian Architects (MÉSz), the primary driving force behind this international showcase. The event will be opened by the newly elected President of MÉSz, Csaba Nagy, who will present a lecture (in English) on his three professional pillars: "Architects' Association – Design – Education".
