Messages

On July 2, 2025, the final public conference of the Seniors Climate Action (SCA) project took place at When Hub in Athens, under the title Empowering Seniors for Climate Action Through Art. The event showcased how artistic creativity by seniors can contribute to addressing climate challenges.

During the panel discussion Seniors as Climate Advocates, representatives of the partner organizations spoke: Richard Kitta (Faculty of Arts, TUKE), Manuela Raisová (Faculty of Economics, TUKE), Annalisa Pezzini (ANS), Eva Ploumistou (ARTIT), and Claudia Erco (INTRAS). The discussion was moderated by Dimitra Noni from KMOP. Topics included art as a tool for climate awareness, the active role of seniors in communities, and the importance of intergenerational dialogue.

The conference highlighted the significance of seniors as agents of change whose creativity can help shape a more sustainable society. Coordinated by the Faculty of Arts TUKE in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics TUKE and partners from Greece, Italy, and Spain, SCA is supported by the Erasmus+ program.
