We invite you to the exhibition entitled “Design of Visual Communication in Time and Space”, an international presentation of contemporary communication design.

The international exhibition of posters and animations from four art universities from Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Hungary will be open on 6 November 2025 at the Vojtech Löffler Museum in Košice. The exhibition presents a total of 120 works (posters and animations) created by students and teachers over the past 5 years. The works reflect current trends in visual communication and provide a confrontation of visual language and diverse approaches in graphic design in the V4 countries. The aim of this traveling exhibition is to present current trends in communication design, their practical application in the design creation of partner universities in the interest of raising social awareness and demands for the quality of outputs in this area.

Visitors will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with works of visual communication, including posters, animations, typography, and book design, representing a variety of projects ranging from public space outputs to experimental digital creations. The exhibition presents not only the technological possibilities of graphic design that are currently available, but also the connection between visual communication and traditional, handmade creations, as well as a reflection on the role of the designer in the digital age.

The exhibition was first presented in Katowice, Poland (14 March 2025 – 6 April 2025) and then in Zlín, Czechia (7 May 2025 – 6 June 2025), where it was also a part of the official programme of the Zlin Design Week 2025. After the exhibition opens in Košice (6 November 2025 – 3 January 2026), the exhibition will then be presented in Hungary in the city of Eger (April 2026). The exhibition is organized by the Visual Communication Studio, Department of Design, Faculty of Arts, TUKE.
